The Age of Exploration was a period from around the early 15th century and continuing into the early 18th century. During this time European ships traveled around the world to search for new trading routes, trading partners, new land, and valuable riches not found in Europe at the time. We will learn specifically about the main countries of European Exploration (England, France, Portugal, Spain, and the Dutch) and the famous explorers who risked their lives for the chance of fame and honor.
