Middle School students' Reading Skills earn an Awards

Congratulations to the members of our middle school Reading Olympics team for their recent success in the county competition. Combining their reading and comprehension skills with teamwork, they placed second in the competition that involved three rounds of rapid fire questions testing the recall and comprehension abilities of students. The 60 questions were selected from a 45 book reading list that each team had to read. Eighth graders, Lucy Zuniga and Lillian Green lead the team that was a successful blend of Reading Olympic veterans and first time participants. Special thanks to our scorekeeper, Kim Petro and Mr. Luke Johnson for providing a post competition team dinner. Activities like Reading Olympics, promote a strong culture for academic achievement and teamwork that provides us with another reason to say, proud to be from Pottstown
