Trojan Wrestlers Are Classroom Winners

Classroom readersPottstown High School wrestlers know that it takes more then wrestling skills to gain success in the world. A strong academic foundation coupled with self discipline and focus learned on the mats are building blocks of adult success.
 
Eleven of the sixteen member team recently earned end of marking period academic Distinguished Honors or Honors. All eleven are multi-sport athletes, who also are members of school organizations like Student Government, DECA, Honor Society, and the district musical.
Head Coach Nick Wade said, we are proud that our team members are taking full advantage of the opportunities our district provides them. They are learning that success is not gained by sitting on the Wrestler with student reading bookssidelines. Many of our team in addition to all of their school activities have part-time jobs, are involved with community organizations and help at home with family responsibilities.
 
They make every second count and are learning that hard work pays off. Earning Distinguished Honors were; Zoe Earle, Julianna Figueroa, Demond Thomposon, Destyn Snyder and Jonathan Oister. Earning Honors;Mia Bumbarger,Matt Deppen, Bobby Mitchell, Jamaal Pratt, Emanuel Tamayo and Bobby Richards. PHS Wrestlers thanks for giving us another reason to say Proud to be from Pottstown.
