No Job Too Big To Tackle

Nehemiah Figuero and his team of football playersPottstown High School Senior member of the Trojan football team, Nehemiah Figueroa knows what it is like to tackle big jobs. Playing in the defensive backfield he recorded his 100th career tackle in the 14-8 victory over Phoenixville. In that game, he leads a goal-line stand on the 3-yard line with 15 seconds to go in the game. His eleven tackles and one interception in that game tied his performance in the 2017 game with Pottsgrove for his personal best effort. Stats for his 18 career games now stand at 103.5 tackles, 8 interceptions, and 1 fumble recovery. Nehemiah also knows what it is like to be on the other side of the ball, as a wide receiver this year he has 20 catches for 204 yards. If that is not enough action he is also the field goal and extra point kicker. Trojan Head Coach Mark Fischer said, Nehemiah, has set high expectations for himself and uses hard work and determination to achieve them. Those qualities are the foundation of his success and will lead to his success in the classroom and work world. Nehemiah plans to attend college next year and major in electrical engineering. We are sure he will tackle the challenge and give us another reason to say Proud to be from Pottstown.
