Help Save a Life…Show Pottstown CARES…Life Savers Needed
The public is invited to help show that Pottstown CARES and become a life saver. PHS Student Government is sponsoring a community blood drive on Friday 10/24 from 7:30 am to 1:30 pm in the High School Gym. If you are 17 years old or older, weigh more than 110 lbs., have not had a body piercing or tattoo in the last 12 months and would like to help save a life, please contact Mr. Mark Agnew by email magnew@pottstownsd.org or call 610-970-6707. It only takes 30 minutes and the impact can last a lifetime. Donate, save a life and become another reason we say, “Proud to be from Pottstown.”
The Pottstown School District and the Foundation for Pottstown Education invites the public to the grand opening of the Alumni Gallery. The Alumni Gallery, located on the first floor of Pottstown High School, will be open on Saturday, October 18th from noon until 1:30 pm. Come out and see some of the pictures, books and artifacts that tell the story of the 176 years of the history of our schools and you will know why we say, “Proud to be from Pottstown!”
Rupert Elementary School, whose opening already has been delayed for more than a month, will open Nov. 10 according to a plan presented Thursday night to members of the school board. Robert Kripplebauer, the district’s supervisor of buildings and grounds, unveiled the plan during a meeting of the board’s facilities committee.
