CLOSING AND EMERGENCY INFORMATION

PROCEDURES

The school district will utilize several sources to announce school closings, delayed
openings, and early dismissals due to emergencies.  They are as follows:

Our school district website, www.pottstownschools.com ,  will have all school closing
information posted on the district's home page.

TELEPHONE COMMUNICATIONS

We ask that parents do not call the schools for this information.  Our buildings have very
few phone lines and limited office assistance for our secretaries.  We appreciate your
helping to keep our phone lines open for emergency calls during severe winter weather.  

EMERGENCY PLAN

Please have a clear plan for your children to follow in case school closes early in
an emergency.
