Thanks to the efforts of the employees of LagasseSweet and the United Stationers Charitable Foundation, the students of Barth Elementary School are packed and ready to go to school to learn. Recently company employees presented over 350 student backpacks each filled with school supplies to Barth Principal Mr. Ryan Oxenford. Students in kindergarten through fifth grade each received a backpack filled with paper, pencils, pens, crayons, folders, notebooks, rulers, and other school necessities.
LagasseSweet representative Nadine Engdahl said, “Our foundation established the backpack program as a successful model to help children begin the school year with a proper and complete set of school supplies. We hope to help make a difference in the lives of young people who will someday become the leaders of our country.”
Principal Ryan Oxenford was appreciative of the donation and emphasized, “It is invaluable to have the proper tools necessary to build the foundation for a quality education. We are appreciative of the partnership that we have developed with our community partners and look forward to continued success through cooperative efforts with our community partners.”
LagasseSweet was acquired by United Stationers Supply Company and is the nation’s largest wholesale distributor of office supplies, furniture, computer peripherals, janitorial/sanitation, food service, and paper supplies. The local LagasseSweet Company is located at 1122 Longford Road in Oaks PA.
