Gene Lucas, Class of 2005, recently graduated from the Chaplin Assistant Advanced Individual Training Course at Fort

Jackson, Columbia.  Mr. Lucas is an Army PFC who earned the distinction of being an honor graduate of the training

Jameel Beasley, Class of 2003, was named to the All Tournament Team as Towson University’s women’s basketball team

placed third in the Lehigh Christmas City Classic.

majoring in human resource management and business administration.

Rian Wallace, a member of the Pittsburgh Steelers Super Bowl Championship Team, was named to the Wall of Honor at the Ricketts Center during its annual Black Heritage celebration.

Darlene Newman, the girls’ basketball coach at Millersville University, was named to the Ricketts Center Wall of Honor at their annual Black Heritage celebration.

Chonn Lacey recently signed a contract to play in the National Football League with the Seattle Seahawks.  He has been

allocated to the Hamburg Sea Devils members of the NFL European league.  Last year, Chonn was a member of the world

championship Amsterdam Admirals who play in the NFL European league.

Jared Bell, Class of 2005, recently graduated from the Air Force Basic Military Training School after completing a vehicles

operations apprentice course.  He is presently stationed in Italy.

Deborah Hopewell, Class of 1985, recently retired after serving 20 years in the United States Marine Corps.  Prior to her

retirement, she earned the rank of Master Sergeant and also received a bachelor of science in business administration from

Touro University International.  After two tours of duty in Okinawa, she served her last assignment at the Securities

Program and Information Management Branch of the Resource Management Division in Washington, D.C.

Sgt. Eric Morgan, Class of 1998, was recently promoted to the rank of Sergeant following a one year tour of duty with the

82^nd Air Bourne Division in Iraq.

Beth Kulp was recently promoted to the rank of Specialist.  She is serving in the United States Military presently stationed in Iraq.  Pottstown School District is proud of its young men and women serving in the Military.

James Etheridge is a member of the East Stroudsburg University football team which is currently ranked 5th nationally in the Division II category.

Justin Gibbs is a member of the Kutztown University football team.

Louie Gibbs is currently a member of the Kutztown University football team.

Chris Gorham is a sophomore member of the football team at Virginia.  He has played a role in the Cavaliers being ranked in the top 25 in the nation.

Brandon Nixon is a member of the football team at the University of Maryland and played a key role as an offensive lineman in Maryland's victory over Navy.

Buddy Evans is a member of the NCAA Division III nationally ranked football team at Delaware Valley.

Christian Allen is a member of the presently undefeated football team at Bloomsburg University.

David Venlet, Class of 1972, was recently promoted to the rank of Rear Admiral in the United States Navy.  Prior to his promotion, he had served as Commander of the Naval Air Warfare Center and also Naval Air Command Assistant Commander for the Test and Evaluation for Shore Installation Management.  He is a graduate of the United States Naval Test Pilot School and holds a master of science degree in Aerospace Engineering.

William "Chip" Smale, Jr., a career firefighter with the Pottstown Goodwill Fire Company, and Justin Cole, a volunteer firefighter of the Pottstown Empire Hook and Ladder Fire Company, were both recognized by Pottstown Borough Council with certificates and medals presented at a special Borough Council meeting.  The awards were in recognition of the heroism they exhibited in rescuing people from a burning home last year.  The citation recognized that their actions were taken in "with disregard for their own safety."

Janet Kritzski, Class of 1955, is the owner/operator of an antique and collectables business in California.  She also is actively involved as a volunteer for the American Cancer Society.

James Butch Leveille, Class of 1955, is a graduate of West Chester Teacher’s College and was a teacher and coach in the Pottstown School District until he retired in 1993.

Elizabeth Pritchard, Class of 1955, is a retired Real Estate Broker and is enjoying her retirement by doing volunteer and church service.

Robert E. Smith, Class of 1955, is a retired aerospace engineer for the Department of Defense.

Lyndell Swartz, Class of 1955, is a practicing dentist in Baltimore, MD.

Walter K. Swartzkopf, Jr., Class of 1955, serviced in the United States Navy and then graduated from Ursinus College.  He is a 1965 Dickinson School of Law graduate and still practices civil law in Altoona, PA.

Bruce Schankin, Class of 1995, was recently promoted to the rank of Staff Sergeant in the United States Air Force.  He is assigned to the Air Intelligence Squadron at Barksdale Air Force Base in LA.

Ed Brown was recently inducted into the Shippensburg University Sports Hall of Fame.  As a member of the football team, he was selected First Team All Conference three years in a row and still holds many Shippensburg University records.  After graduating from the University, he served in the United States Air Force as a Security Reconnaissance Specialist.  He has earned a Masters Degree in Public Administration from Troy State University.

Donald Gasper, Class of 2003, is enlisted in the United States Marine Corps and is presently undergoing basic training at Paris Island, South Carolina.

Ralph E. Shaner, Class of 1880, was one of the founders of the Ringing Rocks Railway Company and the engineer who surveyed the routes for that company and the Pottstown Passenger Railway.  He was elected “Pottstown Borough Engineer” and served in that capacity for 58 years.  He is responsible for having surveyed every addition to the borough and designated every improved street in Pottstown.

Rebecca Pace Feraker, Class of 1991, is a 2000 graduate of Antonelli Medical and Professional Institute with a medical office secretary diploma.

Reginald E. Oliver, Class of 2001, is an Air Force Senior Airman currently deployed overseas at a forward operating location in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom. 

Charles L. Sluzewski, IV, is a private in the Army National Guard and recently graduated from basic combat military training.

Christopher Schlegel is a member of the marching band at Millersville University.

Donald Lash, Jr. recently completed his fourth year as professor of military science at the University of Richmond.  He was selected as the United States Army ROTC's "Best Professor of Military Science" out of 272 nationwide ROTC units.  Currently, he is assigned to the Pentagon as the Deputy Commander of the United States Military Observer Group.  This unit is the Department of Army's Office that oversees the United States officers from all services who serve in the United Nations assignments worldwide and peacekeeping operations in the Sinai.

Kelly Marie Cimino is a graduate of West Chester University and is presently attending graduate school at St. Joseph’s University.

Lea Drumheller is a recent graduate of Millersville University with a Bachelor of Science Degree in English Education.  She is presently a substitute teacher in the Pottstown School District.

Shannon Witzel is a sophomore at Towson University.  As a member of the Women’s Lacrosse Team, she was selected as 2nd Team IWLCA/US Lacrosse South All Regional Team.  This season she broke the 21 year old school record for goals scored.  She helped the team to the Colonial Athletic Association Championships and was named the tournament’s Most Outstanding Player.

Don Grim, Class of 1957, was recognized with the Lifetime Achievement Award at the Summit Awards Program.  Don coached track at Boyertown High School for 37 years.

Tina Riegel is a member of the Women’s Field Hockey Team at Millersville University and was named the team’s Most Valuable Player this year. She was also recently named to the dean’s list.

Lionel Douglass is a recipient of the Ricketts Center Award and the Pottstown School District Alumni Honor Roll Award. He is an actor, dancer, and author. He has performed on Soul Train and Solid Gold. He has appeared in all four of the Lethal Weapon movies and has acted in films such as Beloved, Switchback, Gone Fish’n, and Angels in the Outfield. He has authored several family oriented books including Something A Daughter Wants, Needs, and Should Know, and A Father Needs to Learn.

Karen Joseph Kent, Class of 1984, earned a Bachelor’s Degree from Penn State and Masters Degree from Rush University in Chicago. She is presently Assistant Professor in Health Services Administration at Xavier University in Cincinnati.

Craig Feight, Class of 1984, is a graduate of California State University with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and Accounting. He is a certified public accountant and certified government financial manager. He has been employed by the United States Institute of Peace.

Heather Cassidy Costello, Class of 1984, is a grade of Temple University. Presently, she is the Senior Vice-President in retail strategic markets for the Hanks Direct Marketing Agency, which is the eighth largest direct marketing agency in the United States.

Beth Ann Sipple, Class of 1989, is a 1998 graduate of Temple University with a Doctorate Degree in Biology.  She presently is a Professor of Biology at St. Vincent College .  

Scott McCalicher, Class of 1992, is the Assistant Director of Health Care Services.  

Haley Turney is a recent graduate of Ursinus College with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in English.  A Dean’s List student, she was a member of the Whitians, a women’s honor society, and Gamma Sigma Alpha, a national academic honor society.  Haley was named to Whose Who Among Students in American Universities and Colleges.  She is presently employed as an 8th grade Language Arts teacher in Phoenix , Arizona .

Marcia Donnelly Baylor, Class of 1954, is a retired Physical Therapist and grandmother of four.  

Linwood Bieler, Class of 1954, is a 1970 graduate of Ursinus College and is retired from Ford Electronics where he served as Supervisor of Personnel Services.  He is a certified member of the World Safety and Security Organization.  

Ronald D. Cheney, Class of 1954, is a graduate of Yale and Harvard Law School .  He took part in the Peace Corps and also was a member of the United States Army.  During his career, he had a private law practice and also served on the Securities Exchange Commission.  He has given volunteer service in Zimbabawe.  He has back-packed through Morocco , Southeast Asia , Ecuador , the Galapagos, and Scotland .  

James Eschbach, Class of 1954, received a Bachelor of Science Degree from the Philadelphia College of Pharmacy in 1963, was a pharmacist and partner in Canning’s Pharmacy for 36 years.  He is now retired and enjoys hunting, fishing, and traveling.

Jason Bell, Class of 2002, recently graduated from the Air Force Basic Training course.  He is currently pursuing a career in Communication Signals and Production.  He has also completed the Air Man Leadership Training where he earned a Green Rope in Leadership.  Upon completion of his training, he will serve his tour of duty in Japan .  

Robert Read, Class of 1977, is in his 23rd year of teaching at Gateway High School in Pennsylvania .  He is director of the bands and music department chairperson.  Recently, he was recognized by the School Band and Orchestra magazine as one of the 50 outstanding music educators in the country.  Each year, the School Band and Orchestra magazine selects one outstanding director per state based on recommendations from state music educators associations.  

Angela Mary Lachman, Class of 1995, is a 1999 graduate of West Chester University with a bachelor’s degree in psychology.  She is presently a community rehabilitations manager.  

Amy Jo Koons, Class of 2001, is a senior at Widener University pursuing a degree in nursing.  Recently, she was awarded the Jennifer Donohue Memorial Award recognizing her as the outstanding student in the nursing curriculum.  She also received the Samuel Karl Scholarship.  Amy is also the tri-captain of the women’s field hockey team.

Erika Peterman, Class of 1998, is a 2002 graduate of Pennsylvania State University with a degree in communication sciences and disorders.  She recently left a six month assignment with the Youth Evangelism Service in Peru .  

Rian Wallace is a junior member of the Temple University football team.  Recently, he was named to the First Team All Big East Conference.  Playing in the position of linebacker, he presently ranks 2nd in the Big East Conference in total number of tackles and 21st nationally.  

Justin Coleman, Class of 2003, was recently named to the Dean’s List at Central Pennsylvania College .  He is majoring in business administration.

Brandy McPherson was recently named to the dean’s list at Bloomsburg University .  

Jason Feather, Class of 1995, was recently promoted from sports writer to editor of the sports department of the Phoenix Newspaper in Phoenixville PA.  He is also a disc jockey for Virtual Reality Sound Productions.  

Rashonda Saunders was recently named to the Dean’s List at Lincoln University .  

Allyson Cressman, Class of 1992, is presently assigned to the United States Air Force Office of Special Investigations stationed in Korea .  As a member of this unit, her primary responsibility focuses on providing counter-intelligence and counter-terrorism support to the Department of Defense and Air Force Protection Mission.  Her Commander commends Allyson for her superb professional demeanor and effective investigations which have been key to the success of insuring the safety of troops deployed in Korea .  

Kristin Lynn Hoffmaster recently graduated from the School of Education at West Chester University .  She received Cum Laude academic recognition.  

Shannon Witzel, Class of 2003, is a freshman at Towson University .  As a member of the women’s lacrosse team, she was recently named Colonial Athletic Association Rookie of the Week for the third time this season.  She has helped the team improve to its best record in school history.  Presently, she is the team’s second leading scorer.  

Amy Koons, Class of 2001, is a junior majoring in Nursing at Widener University .  She was recently awarded 1st Place in the Annual Nursing Research Poster Presentation held by ETA BETA Chapter of Sigma Theta TAU, an international nursing honor society.  

Jessica Felix was recently awarded a Bachelor of Science degree in social work from Millersville University .  

Ryan Regensburg, a junior at Ursinus College and a member of the baseball team, was recently named to the Centennial Conference 1st Team.  

Aaron Regensburg, a junior at Muhlenberg College and a member of the baseball team, completed a successful season winning three of the six games which he was the starting pitcher.  He was recently named to the Centennial Conference Honor Roll. 

Regina Oliver is a junior at Ohio State .  She’s a member of the women’s lacrosse team and was recently named to the American Lacrosse Conference 1st Team All Conference.  She is one of only two three-time 1st team selections.  She has previously been named Freshman of the Year and Player of the Year.  

Aaron Blackwell is a recent graduate of Kutztown University with a bachelor of science degree in journalism.   

Alison Kovatto is a recent graduate of Kutztown University with a bachelor of science degree in counseling.  

Lea Drumheller is a student at Millersville University and was recently honored for her service to the university by being named the recipient of the Touchstone Distinguished Service Award.

Jacquelyn Oberg is a sophomore a Temple University majoring in Biology.  She was recently named to the Dean’s List and is a member of the National Society of Collegiate Scholars.

Dick Powell was recently named to the Perkiomen School Hall of Athletic Honor.  Dick attended Perkiomen School as a post-graduate and distinguished himself as an outstanding basketball and football player.  Last October, Dick was also elected to the Pennsylvania Sports Hall of Fame Pottstown Chapter.

Laura Shaner, Class of 1996, is a 2001 graduate of Temple University with a bachelor of arts degree in finance.  She is presently a financial analyst for a corporation in Delaware .   

Jason Schmoyer, Class of 1992, is a 1994 graduate of Berks Technical Institute with an associate’s degree in mechanical engineering.  He is presently a technician for a corporation in Chester Springs , Pennsylvania .

Sara Boyd, Class of 2002, a sophomore at the University of Delaware , was inducted into Sigma Tau Delta, the international English Honor Society.  Sara is a dean’s list student majoring in English with a concentration in business and technical writing and a minor in economics.  

Alison Kovatto was recently named to the dean’s list at Kutztown University .  

Mr. Ed Brown received an award from the Ricketts Community Center at their ninth annual Heritage Celebration in recognition of his outstanding community service.  

Kron White was recently posthumously honored by the Ricketts Communitu Center by being named to their Wall of Outstanding Individuals.  While in school, Kron became a state champion in the 400 meter track event and helped lead the boys’ track team to Pioneer Conference and District I championships.  

Mr. Scott Glenn, Class of 1984, was recently honored by the Ricketts Community Center by being named to its Wall of Outstanding Individuals.  In high school, he helped lead the football team and basketball team to league championships.  While attending West Virginia Tech, Scott was named as a football All-American and holds the all-time leading rusher record for that school.  He served as a United States marine and was meritoriously promoted twice to corporal and sergeant.  As head football coach of the Unionville High School football team, Scott guided them to their best record in many years.  He is presently the assistant defensive coordinator at Albright College .  

Tiffany Mace and Shaun Bentz were recipients of the Delaware Valley Association of School Business Officials Scholarships.  Each was awarded $1,000 which they will use to further their education.  

Dennis Leh is the Pennsylvania State Representative for the 130th District.  He has recently been appointed Chairman of the State House Finance Committee.  Leh is serving his ninth term representing Berks County ’s 130th Legislative District.  He is also a member of the House Consumer Affairs and Policy Committee and is Director of Public Affairs for the American Legislative Exchange Council.

Donna Bridge was recently named to the Dean’s List at Syracuse University .

Marybeth Hospador Bridegam, Class of 53, recently sold her business, Cross Cultural Inc. an international, small group, cultural travel business.  Marybeth founded the business in 1986, and it has grown over the past 18 years and offers special interest, cultural foreign tours in over 33 countries. 

Michael Jackowski is a recent graduate of Dickinson College with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in English.

Travis Eillis, Class of 2002, is presently serving his country in the U.S Marines and recently completed basic training at Paris Island, South Carolina .

Brad Supplee is presently serving his country as a member of the U.S Army and completed his basic training at Fort Wood in Waynesville, Missouri .

Kristy Olinger, Class of 1996, was recently promoted to the position of staff architect at Granary Associates in Philadelphia .  She recently completed an expansion project for the Camden Aquarium and is presently the project architect for a dormitory complex at Temple University .

Doug Yocom, Class of 1971, was recently named “Entrepreneur of the Year” for life science in eastern Pennsylvania .  Mr. Yocom is the President and CEO of Precision Medical Products located in Lancaster County .

The following alumni have been nominated for recognition in the Pottstown Chapter of the Pennsylvania State Sports Hall of Fame:

Alray Johnson was an outstanding wrestler who went to West Chester University and was a four time Middle Atlantic Conference champion and an Olympic team trial finalist.  As a high school coach, he led Downingtown High School to a 198-50-6 record.

Dick Powell was a member of the baseball team which set the national record 48 game winning streak.  He went on to an outstanding athletic career at Kutztown University and distinguished himself as a tennis coach for the Spring-Ford School District .

Stephanie “Peachie” Nixon was a four sport varsity letter winner in high school and earned all league recognition in each sport.  She was the Trojans’ first 1,000 point scorer in basketball and distinguished herself as an outstanding student and athlete at Millersville University .

Fred Faison, at the age of 53, continues an outstanding career in baseball.  His 35 year career started as a catcher for the Trojans and Steelers American Legion Team.  He went on to play in the Blue Mountain League.  For the past 27 years, he has been an integral part of the Collegeville A’s team, which participates in the Perky Twilight League.

Tom Shuman was an outstanding athlete in football, basketball, and baseball while at Pottstown .  He quarterbacked the Penn State football team to an undefeated season and was voted MVP of the Orange Bowl during his junior year.  As a senior, he was named MVP of the Cotton Bowl and played several years of professional football in the Canadian Football League.
Ron Puhl was a member or the 1957 Trojans championship football team.  He went on to distinguish as an outstanding player at Lock Haven University .  He served as both an assistant and head coach at Bloomsburg University .  He is currently a professor at Bloomsburg.
James Valentine recently received a Bachelor of Science Degree is Work Force Education and Development from Southern Illinois University .  Mr. Valentine is presently a senior chief petty officer in the U.S Navy serving as a Commanding Senior Enlisted Advisor at the Naval Aviation Depot in North Island, California.

Steven Webb, Class of 1995, is currently participating in Operation Iraqi Freedom as a member of the Virginia 7th Transportation Group.

Sgt. Michael Morrison, Class of 1986, is serving with the Army Airborne as a member of the Operation Iraqi Freedom.

Robert Neff, Class of 1999, has been attending West Chester University majoring in Criminal Justice.  He completed an internship with the Pottstown Police Department and is enlisted in the Delayed Entry Program for the U.S Marine Corps.

Jessica Lightcap, Class of 2000, is a dean’s list student at Bloomsburg University .  She was recently named as a student athlete in “Who’s Who in American Colleges and Universities.” She will graduate in May 2004 with a degree in Exercise Science and a minor in Cardiac Rehabilitation.  She plans to attend Harcum College and will pursue a secondary degree in Physical Therapy.  She is a four year member of the university’s cross country and track teams and has been named the captain of both teams for the past three seasons.

Robin Sundstrom Remigio recently graduated from West Chester University with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Elementary Education.  She was a member of the Kappa Delta Pi International Honor Society in Education and was the recipient of the Charlotte Newcombe Scholarship award, the Bena Achievement Award, and the Teacher Education Council Scholar Award.  She is presently a first grade teacher in the Owen J. Roberts School District .

Tracy Meadowcroft was recently recognized at an Awards program at Millersville University where she received the Nadine Thomas Journalism Scholarship, the Touchstone Distinguished Service Award, and a listing in “Who’s Who among Students in American Universities and Colleges.”

David Amadu, Class of 2000, recently graduated from the Army Reserve Officers Training Corp National Advanced Leadership Camp at Fort Lewis, Tacoma, Washington .  He is presently a student at Indiana University of Pennsylvania .

Marie Reynolds, Class of 1944, is a retiree of Dana Corporation where she was a secretary clerk for 39 years. 

Daniel Hartline, Class of 1942, is a 1949 graduate of New York University with a Bachelor of Science degree in engineering.  He was engineer for the TWA Airlines. 

David Venlet was recently promoted to Rear Admiral during a ceremony at NAVAIR Headquarters in Patuxent River, Maryland .  He is a graduate of the Naval Academy and the United States Naval Test Pilot School .  He was recently assigned as program manager for NAVAIR’s Air to Air Missiles Program and will now serve as commander of NAVAIR China Lake in California . 

David Kubczak, Jr., Class of 98, recently earned an Associates Degree in Culinary Arts from the Culinary Institute of America in Hyde Park, New York. 

Timothy Kepner, Class of 95, is a graduate of Penn State University with a degree in Administration of Justice and recently graduated from the Dickinson School of Law.  He is presently a practicing attorney. 

Britney Haring, Class of 2002, is a freshman elementary education major at Misericordia College .  As a member of the women’s lacrosse team, she has been named College Athlete of the Month and has also been selected as Pennsylvania Athletic Conference Player of the Week.  Recently, she set a school single game scoring record with nine goals in a victory over Wesley College .  Britney is also a member of the ski club and a participant in the America Reads, America Counts Program, which provides college students to serve as tutors for elementary youngsters.  She was named the Pennsylvania Athletic Conference Women’s Lacrosse Rookie of the Year.

Denise Edwards, a private in the United States Army, recently graduated from the water treatment specialist advanced individual training course at Fort Lee, Virginia. 

Jeff Green, Class of 1980, received the Lifetime Athletic Achievement Award from the Summit Awards Committee in recognition of his outstanding wrestling performance in high school, college, and as an international competitor at the Olympic level.

10.  Ed Kropp, Jr., Class of 1999, was recently sworn in as a member of the Pottstown Police Department.  He is also pursuing a Bachelor of Science degree in political science from West Chester University .

11.  Mark Ranson was recently promoted to the rank of sergeant in the United States Marine Corps.  He is presently serving with the Third Battalion 6th Regimen at Camp Lejeune , North Carolina .

12.  Nicholas Patrizi, Class of 2002, was recently selected as the recipient of the Donna Gottshall Memorial Tennis and Music Scholarship.  The $300 scholarship is presented to a member of the boys’ tennis team who also has demonstrated excellence in the area of music.  Nicholas was a member of boys’ tennis team, the marching band and jazz band.  He is presently a freshman at Lebanon Valley College .

13.  Jessica Lightcap, a junior at Bloomsburg University, was recently named their scholar student-athlete.  She maintains of 3.25 grade point average or better while a member of the varsity cross country and track teams.

14.  Kristy Garner, a sophomore at Millersville University, recently scored 16 points and a career high 21 rebounds to assist her team in a 64-53 overtime win over Cheyney University.

1.   Rodney Massengill, Class of 1985, is a 1989 graduate of West Chester University and is a certified financial planner.  He is presently a senior investment advisor with Vanguard National Trust.

24.  Regina Oliver is a freshman member of the Ohio State University women’s lacrosse team.  She was recently named American Lacrosse Conference Rookie of the Year and had previously been named conference player of the week.  She helped lead the Ohio State team into their first ever appearance in the NCAA tournament.

3. Mr. William McCabe, a former social studies teacher in the Pottstown School District for 41 years, was recognized by the Pennsylvania Municipal Authority with the J.E. (Ted Kuhn) 50 year extended service award recognizing his 51 years of service on the Pottstown Water and Sewer Authority. Mr. McCabe is credited with drawing up what is believed to be the Borough of Pottstown's first budget as well as being involved with bringing the first borough manager to Pottstown . As a social studies teacher, he taught "Problems in American Democracy" and also coached football, basketball, and golf.

29. The Pennsylvania Soccer Coaches Association officially recognized Aaron Regensburg as being the Pennsylvania All-time Career Leader in goalie saves with 1,290 during his career from 1997 to 2001. He also holds the state record for the most saves 446 in one season and ranks fifth in the all-time state list for saves in a single game with 34.

83. Jim Clouser, Class of 1967, is a graduate of St. Joseph ’s University where he was recently inducted into their baseball hall of fame. While at St. Joseph ’s he was the NCAA batting champion in 1968 and was twice named to the All Middle Atlantic Conference first team. He received a master’s degree in business administration from the University of Minnesota and is a successful businessman.

The following alumni of the Pottstown High School Music Department have distinguished themselves by: Chris Morgan, attending James Madison University, is participating in the marching band which performed at President Bush’s inaugural address and also performed in Athens, Greece at the millennium ceremonies; Dylan Swab, a graduate of Penn State University, is presently playing with a band that travels throughout the Caribbean on the Carnival Cruise Line; Brent Turney, a Penn State graduate, is now doing graduate studies at DePaul University and is a member of their jazz band.

11. Galen Royer, Jr., Class of 1971, is the owner and operator of the Downtown Records shop in Pottstown for the past 30 years.

12. Recently named to the dean’s list at Pennsylvania State University were Erika Peterman, Kelly Borneman, Erik Regensburg, and Brooke Eidell.

13. Jaime Kulp, Class of 1995, is a 2000 graduate of Millersville University with a bachelor of arts degree in psychology. She is presently an intensive care manager with Creative Health Services.

14. Donald Lash, a graduate of West Point University , is an officer in the United States Army and recently was assigned to be the professor of military science at the University of Richmond in Virginia . As part of his responsibilities, he will be in charge of the ROTC program for the University of Richmond .

15. Erika Darrah was named to the dean’s list at Ursinus College .

16. Brooke Eidell was a winter commencement graduate at Pennsylvania State University with a bachelor of science degree in biology.

17. Joelle Maguire was named to West Chester University ’s athletic director’s academic honor roll for the spring semester.

18. Karen Keeler, Class of 1998, recently completed her junior year at James Madison University and was awarded the Presser Foundation Scholarship which recognizes her excellence in the field of music. She was also inducted as a charter member of the Phi Lambda Honorary Fraternity. Miss Keeler has also been recognized as a member of the President’s List with a 4.0 grade point average.

19. Cristen Leaper, a sophomore at Albright College , has been awarded the Albright Scholar Scholarship in recognition of her high academic achievement during her freshman and sophomore years at Albright.
