Ø On Monday, October 24, 2011 we planted a beautiful Japanese Maple Tree at Rupert Elementary School. This tree was planted in memory Mrs. Carolyn Eckert . Mrs. Eckert was one of our foster grandmothers, and passed away a few mothers ago. She worked with our first grade students and touched all of our lives. “Grand-mom” Eckert loved coming to Rupert each day, and spending her time with the students and staff. She was a dedicated volunteer who is greatly missed. The tree that was planted will serve as a constant reminder of the kindness and dedication that Mrs. Eckert displayed. Thank you to Mrs. Eckert for helping to make Rupert a special place for our children. Our local Target store donated the Japanese Maple Tree that was planted in honor of Mrs. Eckert.
