My name is Kathy Valerio and I am the speech/language therapist at Lincoln Elementary School and Middle School (fifth grade students). I am a proud graduate of Pottstown School District and I am excited to be back here helping students reach their potential.
I graduated from Ithaca College in NY with my bachelor’s degree as a Teacher of the Speech and Hearing Impaired. I then continued my studies at Bloomsburg University where I received my Masters degree in Speech Pathology.
Over the years, I have worked in various settings with all ages. I enjoyed travelling therapy where I lived in Georgia, Missouri and Florida for short amounts of time while providing therapy. Fifteen years ago I was the speech/language teacher at Barth and the Middle School until I had my second child. The last 12 years I have been working with the Early Intervention population with 0-3 year olds, providing parent training and therapy to little ones.
I have 3 children that keep me busy with all their activities – ice hockey, swimming, and lacrosse. In my free time I like to read, bike ride, walk, go on vacations!!
