Simply the Best

After looking at the results of the Conrad Weiser Jazz Spectacular, "simply the best" is the only way to describe the Pottstown Middle School Jazz Band. They won every award given! Aiden Ondik won Best Saxophone Soloist. Royer Rodriguez was awarded Best Brass Soloist and the Best Rhythm Section Soloist award was given to Levi Jaycox. The band's director, Katie German said, this year's jazz band is a group of go-getters who are intrinsically motivated because they love playing jazz music. We learned a total of 6 tunes - they were always hungry to keep learning! The band is a tight-knit group with strong friendships and support for each other. Their hard work has paid off and given us another reason to say, proud to be from Pottstown.
